Community Organiser, Thriving Places

Platform, the thriving arts centre at the heart of the award-winning Bridge complex in Easterhouse is now recruiting for a Community Organiser for the Thriving Places Initiative.

Platform is run by Glasgow East Arts Company (GEAC) and on behalf of the Thriving Places Steering Group, GEAC seeks a dynamic community professional to lead the delivery of this important initiative as it rolls out across Easterhouse in 2016/17.

Community Organiser, Thriving Places Initiative

35 hours per week £30K per annum, fixed term to 31 March 2018 with potential to extend depending on funding

The post holder will work directly with local residents to support their involvement in the Thriving Places Initiative to identify, articulate and fulfil the aspirations that they have for themselves and their community. The post holder will play a key role in building confidence and maximising community capacity to improve local skills alongside supporting resilience and strengthening the community voice.

Candidates should have a proven track record of working directly with local people, be able to evidence partnership working and demonstrate experience of supporting capacity building.
