Easterhouse Conversations Drew Wright and RM Hubbert

In 2015 we commissioned RM Hubbert and Drew Wright to create new songs inspired by the Easterhosue community

One of the songs featured a Romeo and Juliet style love story, based on teenagers from rival gangs.

Drew said young people he spoke to told him territorial disputes were not as bad as they used to be, with schools knocked down and big community ones built to replace them.

The songs were performed at Outskirts 2015 – Platform’s yearly arts festival
